  • Anyway it has flourished through the ages absorbing the essence of different socio-cultural values. It is basically a drugless therapy and is presently being practiced all over the world in the treatment of various acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Central to the concept behind acupuncture is the idea of body as self healing and that as living beings we are all naturally full of vitality & are continually and quite unconsciously rebalanced & regenerated from within.
  • Acupuncture sees the body as a self-rectifying whole, a network of interrelating and interacting energies. Their even distribution & flow maintain health, but any interruption, depletion or stagnation leads to disease.
  • Chinese themselves called this vital energy as 'Qi', which flows through meridians. By needling or pressing acupuncture points as well as by adding Moxibustion to the points or tender area 'Qi' can be influenced & various Common diseases can be treated.
